8x10 Photo Paper

Unread post by MrDubbs »

Why is it so hard to find 8x10 photo paper? Everywhere I look has every size around it, but 8x10. I've been sending some 8.5x11's but have noticed the corners are getting a bit dinged up, so I found out the cardboard that I bought isn't quite big enough for that size. So I figured I'd try 8x10' photo paper, but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Also, what gloss is recommended? I know some are more prone to smearing. The 8'5x11 paper I used was a high gloss, and didn't get any smearing, but wasn't sure if all papers were the same?

I don't know if they make 8X10 photo paper. Most printers need 8.5X11 paper. When you use the 8.5x11 does it leave a white ring around the edge? I might cut that off--that way you can use the paper you are used too but cut it down to the right size.

my printer has a touch screen that gives me the option to have a white edge or not, and I also have a program that came with it to have an edge. I've seen 8x10 photo paper sell on ebay for some hefty prices at times, so I know it's out there or perhaps has been.

It's just weird to me that they make 4x7, 5x7, 8.5x11 etc, but no 8x10

I bought the same paper today, except 5 star, and the ink is smearing like crazy and not handling a sharpie well..

Am I missing something? :?

There's three different types of the paper; 3, 4, and 5 stars.
