Photo Paper Help

Unread post by Zaj »

Recently, I have been using 3 Star Bronze Kodak Photo Paper for sending out my own photos for autographs.

I've found that it is somewhat hard to sign on them, and I also am a tad fearful of the signature fading on them.

So, today, I purchased Epison 5 Star Glossy photo paper and the ink is smearing, and also not reacting well to a Sharpie.

Suggestions?

Hello Zaj,

Often with overly glossy photo paper there can be a problem with ink not drying on the surface properly, and the only thing I can suggest is to look into buying some matte photo paper or something similar. The signature is less likely to rub off of the paper too. I use semi-gloss paper when printing photos myself and I have always found it to be brilliant and ink drys on it very well to.

Good luck, and please post any more questions you have!

try rubbing baby powder on the photo and then wipe it off or use a white eraser and rub it on the photo then rub off the eraser part...it adds some "grip" to the photo which makes the sharpie not bubble up on the glossy photos
