MySpace is good for receiving successes from artists who aren't so famous as yet, so it's good for upcoming artists mostly.
I've had some replies on MySpace from the stars themselves.

Do you mean for example teenies which Angus T. Jones of Two and a Half Men (http://www.myspace.com/real_angustjones) and not so famous actors and so on how Adrian R'Mante (http://www.myspace.com/thesuitelife_esteban)?

Dont know about actors.. I've only had replies from up and coming song artists via MySpace.
I think MySpace is better for getting in touch with artists than Facebook.
