What's the jist on this? Is it worth anything? It is a signature, just not hand signed.

To put it simply, an autopen is a machine that signs / duplicates a signature. As for "worth" that depends on your point of view. It is not a "real" autograph. It is machine generated, and I (for exmple) place no value on Pre-prints, autopens, secretarials or other fakes.
Some, people don't really care and are satisfied with anything from a celebrity. I do not put autopens in the same category as forgreries which are an attempt to rip off the collector, because they are an attempt (albeit a worthless one) to satisfy a collectors wishes and not intended to decieve

I have been asked many times about trading / selling some of my autographs. I am sorry but my collection is not and will not be for sale.
