First time, a few questions!

Hello guys!

I am new at requesting autographs and I got a few people I am intressted in getting signs from. The only problem is that the feedback is pretty old and I was curious to ask a few questions!

The persons I am interested in is John Mayer, Slash and Eric Clapton. Three rather big names and probably hard to get ahold of. I was thinking about sending 1 pickguard and 1 pick to each of them and was curious about what I should think about before sending.

I've read about SASE and figured the postoffice could help me out with that one. However, is it unusual for people to sign picks and pickguards? The pickguards are black, should I attach a white pen? Should I add money for the favor?

As for John Mayer, the last feedback I saw as negative and old, as for the rest of them the feedback as quite old aswell.

Sorry for the quite frequently asked question, I'm guessing. The reason of this post was to find out about my chances of getting response from these three gentlemen!

If you write Slash, you'll almost definitely get a reply. I've seen people get pickguards signed by him. He's a good bet.

I think John Mayer is "Too big for his body" to sign anything...

Eric Clapton, haven't seen anything from him. I don't think chances are good with him either.

If you want someone else, try Eddie Van Halen.

I'll be sure to write to Slash, I sent an email to Fansource that's in charge of his fanmails. Hopefully they'll give me a green light so I can send him a pickguard and a pick! Would it be foolish of me to ask him for some motivational words on the pickguard? Where should I send it? Is the address from fanmail's site about him correct?

I guess sending anything to John Mayer and Clapton would be unnessesary if a reply most likely won't be recieved. Eddie would be awesome to get a signature from! Do you kno any other guitarists that's known for signing fanmail? I read that Brian May of Queen was signing but he isnt anymore.

NOt sure. I sent a letter to my favorite guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd about 4 months ago...nothing back yet.
