How would you send an album/vinyl?

Unread post by Justin »

Any tips out there on how to conveniently send away an album/vinyl TTM with these boxes? How have others done the self-addressed thing with these cardboard mailers? Naturally, you can't include another box for them to ship back so you'd have to use the same box to mail back.

How did you arrange the return address and stamps? Did you include labels for them to tape on the front to return back? Or Did you write your address under the box and they had to just peel away the top label?

Any tips on how to successfully send away AND RECEIVE a signed album would be most appreciated!

Send it by wrapping it around in a great big envelope, or wrap it in paper (but make it fairly easy to unwrap at the other end! That way you can prepare the mailer as a return package and make it easy for the person receiving it.

Don't send the actual vinyl, just the cover. Put the cover and the letter on the outside of the mailer for its' outbound journey.

Good luck.

Great idea, Stan!

I did a similiar thing where I had written the outbound address on these labels and had the return address written on the box right underneath the label for its inbound route, asking the celeb to just peel off the addresses to mail back to me. Never did get the package back though (went to the UK last year). I had all the stamps included...maybe it was too confusing? I like your idea because I'll have everything setup on the box (stamps and all) and then cover it with that brown wrapping paper for its outbound route.
