The longest wait I have recorded is 264 days, and it's for Bryan Dattilo (soap opera actor.) It's quite possible that it's not really the longest wait ever for me. I lost interest in autograph collecting and stopped recording the received dates on many. Some of the envelopes I scribbled the received dates on, but I had since thrown out the envelopes without recording in my database.
I probably wouldn't count out the possiblity of receiving a reponse after 10 months.
I hope the original poster does get the awaited response.
A little over 4 YEARS. There was one dude on her who waited 19 years and finally got a reply!

I haven't requested autographs often since I only write people I truly, really admire (which is a handful) but the longest I have waited was 3+ years (from 2007ish until 2010) for actress Sasha Alexander. It was the second fanletter I ever wrote and I was convinced it was either lost in the mail or gotten tossed out. I didn't resend another letter and had given up on it already. You can imagine me beeing suprised when I recieved a lovely reply with a great signed photograph.
I have seen faster replies from her so maybe my letter just ended up on the bottom of the pile by mistake.
Who knows?
I personally think that as long as it appears that the celeb is still signing since people are still posting replies from them you can assume that even after 12 -18 months you can still recieve a answer. After 18 months you can consider maybe trying another address or venue of resending to the primary address. This is however not a rule and some celebs / agencies don't appriciate getting multiple letters.
Also take in consideration that the celeb (I dont know who the celeb requested by the OP is) can be busy promoting something, shooting an movie, be on break or have personal situations with 'delay' their ability to sign. If a celeb say just got married or is on tour it might take longer. So OP, I think there is still a good chance you'll get something!
