I agree IRC are so hard to get! I just send dollar bills in my envelopes and I get the Post Office to stamp my letters for me

Strange... hhmn I live in the UK and I recently sent out some money to buy a few autographs in the States. I used 2 first class stamps and just put it in the post box. Yeah, its virtually impossible to buy IRC's over here but they do sell international stamps. They are slightly more expensive.... I stick to first class stamps.

IRC's can be hard to find but they are out there. I can to go a central, 7 counter PO and get them easily, they even keep them in the stamps books they are available so freely.

Airmail letters cost £0.67 upto 10g and £0.97 for upto 20g. Two normal first class stamps (2x£0.41)will be fine if it's under 10g but not enough for any other weight. So you are paying too much or not enough, they are not more expensive! That's if you mean normal stamps and not Large Letters since that comes to £1.22, but again more expensive that proper airmail stamps.
