I always write Dear Ms./Mr. Firstname Lastname. For example: Dear Mr. Ringo Starr, it's just the way I've always done it, and it has worked so far for me
I also address child stars the same way, because they have also earned the respect that the adults have, and I know how good it feels to be treated like you're grown up if you're a little kid. I wrote to a four year old and addressed it Dear Mr. Ty Panitz and I got back a really cute drawing, a signed picture, and a letter that his dad had written as he told him what to say.
