Re: Autograph Storage
I personally frame mine as a get them and store them that way.
Re: Autograph Storage
I keep all of my autographs in binders, photo albums and the ultimate Playbill Binders.
All of my autographs are in their very own bookcase (they needed their own).
Currently I have:
~ 6 binders that are each 3 inches wide full of autographs and I need at least 1 more. Each binder holds 250-300 autographs.
~ 9 Ultimate Playbill Binders, all of them are full, I just ordered 2 more
~ 11 photo albums that hold 300 4x6 photos/index cards each. Currently only 9 are full, and I'm working on #10. My military and historical collection is housed in these albums.
I do have a few "odd" things that I'm not sure what to do with yet, but I have 2 display boxes that have a signed baseball cap in each, and a couple signed art prints/sketches that I'm going to get framed soon.
The best thing that you can do is to make sure whatever you buy is acid free and archival safe. If you don't get things that are acid free/archival safe eventually the autographs will fade and will be destroyed.
Best of luck with your collections.

Re: How do you keep your autographs?
I definitely like keeping all of my autographs in a binder with the acid-free page protectors. I get decent copies made (300dpi) of my favorite ones and frame those; I just feel safer having the originals in a binder which I can constantly keep tabs on. Plus, a binder can be dragged to a friends house or left on a coffee table. Framed autographs simply don't have that kind of mobility, now do they?
Personalized ones go in one binder, preprints in another. Since most of the photos don't fill up a whole page protector (which to me looks kinda silly,) I get neon-colored acid free cardstock to put between each photo. Adds some brilliant color to countless pages of black and white glossies while providing some sturdy backing when looking through.
And as a side note, I saw some ridiculously massive binders at Office Max the other day for $30-$40 (the latter one is just a bit much for me, especially for a binder.) BUT, for those who are constantly running out of space like I am, just know that there's help out there. I've been looking around for like, autograph-specific holders and am finding nothing. Just a lot of baseball card holders and some scrapbooking supplies, but I'm not sure how that would work out. Binders are the way to go, I think.

Re: How do you keep your autographs?
we frame most of ours and they are on the wall away from sunlight , the frames we use have a thick mount which ensures the photo never touches the glass.
We like them being on display as they become a talking point and family and friends are always asking to tour the house to see the new additions , my daughters friends are always wanting to look at our dr who collection and davros is usually voted as favourite.

why keep them in a drawer where nobody gets the pleasure of seeing them , framing them really sets them off.
sorry if you don't agree , but its our choice.

Hi!
I only keep authentic autographs - I throw out all secretarials, preprints, autopens and stamps.
I store my autographs in a plastic display file, please click here to see what it looks like!
I've been keeping them in there for 2 and a half years now, and they looks perfect.
Just make sure if you want to get a similar file like mine, that it is acid-free.
Thanks!

I have one in a thin plastic sleeve, in a hard plastic sleeve, then stuck in the pocket inside my datebook.
Otherwise I have some signed Playbills that I haven't gotten around to protecting correctly.
