Are more "personal" pics (not an image from a film) ok to se

Sorry if this has already been asked, but I checked the sticky topics and did a quick search but didn't find anything.

To be precise, I'm writing to Tom Woodruff jr soon and since about 99% of the time he appears on screen in a monster suit - and I want to send a photo of him, as him :) - would a photo like the following be ok to send?

I'm unsure because it's not like it's a scene from a movie, you know? But at the same time, it's not like it's some family photo, so should it be ok? (I was going to write something anyway like, I'd appreciate you signing these photo's, if you don't mind).

Thanks

Hi!

I think there's nothing wrong in sending such a photo {thumb2} . I understand you don't want have signed a photo of him in a monster suit ;-)

Bye,
Sammya ;-)

Thanks for your opinion Sammya :)

Well I am also for sending a photo of him in a monster suit to be signed as well, but I just like the idea of having a photo of him, as him :) I do like his work anyway, not just in the suit, but making them, etc.
I guess I can always try and he's free to throw it away or send back unsigned if he doesn't like it :)

But thanks, I just wanted to make sure there was no unwritten law about sending non-film-screencaps and such that I wasn't aware of :D
