I would like to know what the average wait is between the time you send a letter and the time you receive that letter back. I sent out a couple letters three weeks ago and would like to know when to expect to get them back. Thanks Again!

Hi!
It really depends on people you are sending letters to and other thing like if you've written to somebody within your country or in another one etc, but I'd say average waiting time is three months. But you can get autograph in a month or in half a year.

It all depends. If you check the Feedback on a celeb you wrote to, that may be a good indication on how long it *might* take for you to get a reply. I think a good rule of thumb to follow is if you don't hear anything after 6 months, re-write that celeb.

Right on! That's just the response I was going to give!

the six month rule is good, but I've sometimes had to wait 2 years! and I still get a success!

In the mean time while you waiting for your letters to come back. go ahead and write some more! It makes the waiting time feel a lot shorter!
Another thing, Did you make sure to include a SASE & photos with each request? Most celebs won't respond unless you provide them with those 2 IMPORTANT things, so if you didn't, then Yes I'd say re-send.

Yeah I've waited as little as 9 days and as much as a year and half. So it just depends. Even looking at past feedback can change if that person is filming a movie or something.

it depends which country you live in, for example if it's middle Europe, it takes sometimes reaaly long. I know some situations when a person waited a year, but then got a wonderful surprise.
good luck {thumb2}

Agreeing with all the above ;) I've had succes taking just 4 months and I've had succes taking well over a year. Depends on location, filming, the celeb etc.
6 month-1 year is average I guess. Anything that takes longer than that might be lost in the mail etc.

Agreed. It all varies on who you send to - and if some of the celebrities (i.e. Stan Lee, and Patty Andrews) sign at random.
I've sent a couple of requests out now over a year ago, and still have received nothing. One of the feedback I saw for a request I sent out (Lily Tomlin) was a total of about 690 days :neutral:
But patience is the key word for autograph collecting
