Is it ok to put my address on the in the return and send place on the SASE??
Or should I be letting them address the return with thier address?
My mom said I should do that so if it gets lost in the mail, they will return it to me and not to the person I'm sending it to.

Actually... when something "gets lost" in the mail... odds are you will never ever see it again
Interesting thought but the return address is used only if the letter is undeliverable too the recipient's address.

well, on the letter have their address on the normal spot and yours on the return place.. on SASE, put yours on the normal spot and leave the return empty.. that's what I do !

I put my address in both places on my SASE

It is fine if you want to put you address BOTH places on the SASE. That way if there is something wrong (not enough postage for example) you should still get it.

Personally, I leave the return place blank unless I am writing overseas. But then I put my address in both spots.

I do the same as Carol and BossC - I just put my own address in the send place (middle) and I leave the return space blank. {thumb2} You can put your address in both places, the post office would then send it to you if there's anything wrong.

i put my address in both spots on my sase. i dunno if it has helped get any of my successes to me, but i still do it.

I never put a return address on my SASE (an address in the upper left hand corner). I always just address it to myself and leave that spot blank. So if they want to put their return address on it, then they can.

I see what you're saying about it getting lost in the mail. I've worried about that too. So that's why I only address the SASE with my address.
