Hi,

This is my first time posting here so I'm pretty excited. Since I'm a newbie I don't have any autographs yet nor do understand the fancy lingo you guys use

I would be so thankful if I could get a crash course on how to send a request for a autograph. Now, I'm not completley hopless. I am waiting for a Robert Pattinson autograph soon *knocks on wood*.

All I need help with is:

Pictures- Do you guys print the picture out or actually buy a picture?

Stamps- Must I give the respiant a stamp to send back to me?

And any other things you want to fill me in on

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Ok, here is my "crash course"

Pictures: Most people have their own to send, but some celebrites need you to send one. As for buying vs printing, I go for printing my own (from DVDs or if I find one online I like). Some printing places (Wal Mart for example) are pretty picky about printing pictures of celebrities

Stamps: Most people to send a Sefle Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) with a request to a celebrity. Some people won't respond without it.

The only other tip I can think of off the rop of my head is put your address on the letter as well as the envelope addressed to the celeb--just in case they lose the envelope.

I am not a moderator nor do I have that much experience (3 successes so far ) but here is what I do:

- I am looking for pictures in the internet (e.g. on google.de), save them on my computer, add a small black frame around it and print them out on photo glossy paper

- if you have stamps of the country you are writing to:
> You must stick them on your SASE

- if you have no stamps of the country you are writing to:
> Try to get some IRCs from your post office and send them with your request

Hope someone with more experience can correct me and/or add some more information if necessary

Now if I have my SASE (see I'm already talking like a pro ) will I put it in the envelope that contains my photo?

In other words will I have an envelope inside another envelope?

Yes. The outside envelope is addressed to the celebrity, inside is another envelope with your address on it (for the celebrity to send you a photo in) plus your letter, of course.

an autopen is a machine that signs the photo for the celeb
secretarial is when the celeb has someone else sign the photo for him
a preprint is a copy of a signed picture
