Hey,

Im planning on sending a letter to an event that takes place on October 16-19 in FL. How far ahead should i send it? And should I put something like "Please Hold Until 16/10" on the envelope?
Im not really used to writing VV so thats why im asking! :roll:

Thanks! {up}

Hi Seb!

Well, I'm from Europe like you and when I'm sending something VV to US, I send it about at least ten days before the event. You can try to write on the envelope something like "Deliver until the day" but I don't think it'll work, I tried it and got RTS back, 'cause the letter wasn't delivered in time despite the notice on the envelope...But it was sent to Australia so I don't know if it won'r work in the US either :D

Mail coming to the US from overseas usually takes a MINIMUM of a week.

I sent a letter from NZ to the US that made it in a little over a week (actually I think I mailed it on Sat, and it arrived in the US on the next Saturday), so it depends if there is a problem with customs.

I haven't done anything like that but I'd recommend sending it no later than October 1st.

P.S. The US writes our dates differently so I might spell out "Please hold until October 16th."
