Sending requests via two different addresses

Hi I was wondering: When you send a letter of request to someone via two different addresses in the hope that one may be valid, do you write the same in both letters? Because I have two addresses for someone who may be more likely than some other celebrities to read the letter, wouldn't it be strange if both got to him with the same content? Or do I write something explaining that I have sent the same letter to two addresses and that I'm sorry if he's previously received the letter, etc?

Thanks for your help!

Here are the good points, to writing the same ones.

1. It saves you time.
2. They will probably forget your last one.
3. You may get a surprise autograph in the post.
4. What does the phrasing mean if the same person has wrote the letter?

Here are the good points, to writing two different ones.

1. They might think you're a bit greedy IF they remember you.

Now you choose. :D

Hi aamir thanks for your comments! I don't quite understand your last point - do you mean that it would look greedy sending two of the same letter or two different ones? :D

Good luck with your collection!

I think it would be best to just say in one of the letter's that you've already wrote to a different address, and explain that you weren't sure which address was valid.
There's no harm done in explaining this to them anyway, and it would be best that way just in case they do realise you've sent two letters and therefore think you're only after a collection of auto's or to sell them or something.

Thanks Lady Sussudio,
That's put me at ease, think that's what I'll do!

I already wrote to someone to several different addresses... To Simple Plan to 4 addresses, and to Hilary Duff to 5 addresses... I try to take all the chances I can... I write same letter for every address but I add a the bottom of my letter that I sent it to some different addresses to get a chance to get something back one day :).

I usually wait a certain amount of time, depending on how long their tour is..and if I don't get something in about a month, I send it again. But if you are raelly worried about it after a week, then send it again
