In Canada where I live, IRC's are $3.50 which is ridiculous....however when you are sending a SASE, go to the bank and buy some american dollar bills. Include 1 or two inside your envelope instead of the IRC. American money is a lot of the time accepted because it is(until the latter part of 2008) stable. So instead of spending $3.50 you only spend 2$(and the exchange rate).

Agreed. I do the same thing - 2 USD is enough for Airmail from USA to Europe!
