I would enlarge them a bit. Probably up to 900px (dimensions).

they should come out clearly. They look about the same size as the photos I print into a 4x6. If you've got a program that you can resize the pixels, try at least 300 pixels per inch.

Just 300! Do you print the photos yourself? If you print them yourself they should be ok. I send my photos to a store and they have to be a high quality or I will see the pixel blocks.

Thanks for your replies BossC and Selise {up}

I don't print my photo's myself, I print them at a store using those Kodak DIY-type machines. I'm just really annoyed with always ending up having to pay for pics that come out horribly pixelated and blurry :lol:

Another question - if I had to add a white background to them in Paint or something, would that help my cause?

I do print my photos myself. None of the stores around here will print copywritten photos, and I've tried about 15 or 16 stores.

When I do use the machines in stores for my scrapbooking stuff, I use 500 or so pixels per inch. So far, everything's come out well for me - I've no complaints.

Shambler - Personally I wouldn't add a white border, that's just my preference though.

If you want to ensure having clear photos without seeing any pixels, ideally you should look for photos that are anywhere from 1000 x 1000 pixels or larger. Could be different for 4x6's, though.
