I am not sure whether this is the kind of thing to post here, but here goes:
About two months ago a good friend of mine found out that he has cancer of the esophagus.
They put a stint in and he had to be fed by a feeding tube. Just a few days ago he found
out the devastating news that it had gotten worse and has spread to his liver. Not to go into
a lot of detail, he has between six months to a year to live. I personally think along with
his wife, that it will be a lot less!
Tom was on the police force in Washington DC for twenty years. He moved to the lower
part of Delaware with his wife and two kids around ten years ago. My wife and I became
fast friends with the whole family.
He is an avid Washington Redskins fan. Would anyone know how I could get an autographed
Redskin's jersey and/or football? He has been a fan ever since he was a kid in Washington DC.
Would really appreciate it if someone could give me some ideas on what to do for our friend.
Thanks,
Tom

Re: Not much time!
That is very saddening.
I would suggest writing a letter to the management of the Redskins. Not just to the regular address, but maybe you could find a special adress for specific requests.
Attach a photo of your friend, plus a detailed description of him and what his current condition is (maybe tell him that he loves to watch football whenever he's got the chance.)
Make sure it sounds professional, not just so they think its a fake.
Request the jersey/football very mindly and offer to send a check/money order to pay back for postage. And also request a reply. {thumb2}
Good luck with your request and I am very sorry to hear about your friend.
