No IRCs can I use $s instead

I want to write to a couple of people in America and I can't get hold of any IRCs at the moment. Its easy to buy dollar bills in the bank so I wondered if that would be acceptable? Ive noticed that on post from SFM the postage is 94 cents, so presumably one dollar would be enough.
I would have thought dollars would be easier for the stars management than IRCs anyway but I don't want to do the wrong thing.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, you can use dollars as a form of return postage - just make sure you conceal it well in your envelope.

can I ask what country your in? Im pretty sure it will take more then one dollar, the studio fanmail envelopes are pretty small, so you cant really go by them
