How much is an IRC worth?

Hi, can anyone tell me, when an IRC is beeing redeemed, how much it is worth in US Dollars.

I think someone said it can be redeemed for aound 0.80 or 0.90 in the US but I'm not 100% sure about that.

I have never used an IRC but I AM GUESSING around $1 USD

BossC is correct - one IRC is worth around
$0.80 - 0.90 (I don't know the exact amount).
The important thing to know is that
one IRC will cover the postage of a standard envelope. {thumb2}

It's says on the back of an IRC.
Exchangeable for the minimum postage for an unregistered priority item or and unregistered letter send by air to a foreign country.
Which currently cost $0.94 cents.

If I sent something to Israel and wanted a reply back, how many IRC's should I send along with the letter? How many would I need to include when sending something to London? Thanks?
