The sound of music autographs

I know that most of the Sound of Music girls charge a fee through their website for an autograph, but I've seen successes from them when people have sent Just a letter and SASE.

So I'm wondering if it would work if I sent a SAE and about 3-4 IRC,
or should I send a SASE, with U.S forever stamps on it.?

and if so, how many Forever stamps will it take to get a 12x9 envelope from America to Australia?

Thank you in advanced

Hi, I am trying to collect Sound of Music autographs too.
So far, I have only got Daniel Truhitte (Rolf), who also charges through his website.

I'm afraid I can't help you on postage amounts, but I know that Heather Menzies Urich (Louisa) has previously replied with IRCs and an SASE. The US postal service website displays
postage costs http://www.usps.com/ if you have your return envelope weighed at your post office, then choose the correct envelope size etc and it calculates the postage required for you.

Good luck, and let me know if you are successful!

I have already pmed you some of my experiences with the Sound of Music cast, but here’s more. As far as I know, Julie Andrews does not sign items sent to her. She does respond with a photo although I’m not sure if it is authentic or PP.
Christopher Plummer sends an 8X10 but I haven't written him yet, but he's on my list.

I have had a success from Daniel Truhitte (Rolf), Charmian Carr (Liesel) and Angela Cartwright (Brigetta). I wrote Heather Menzies (Louisa) and sent a SASE but never heard back.

The cost for a 9X12 from the US to Australia would be a minimum of 1.20 for one ounce (3 forever stamps)—about the weight of a 8X10. Up to two ounces is 2.00.

I hope this helps!
