Writing to someone who voiced a character

Unread post by Johnny's Fan »

I really want to write to James Earl Jones who was the voice of Darth Vader in the Star Wars films. But I'm a bit stuck about what to say, because I really love Darth Vader as a whole, not just because of his voice, and I don't want to offend him by rambling on about how much I love Darth Vader and make him feel I don't appreciate what he gave to the character.

I've just never written to anyone where I have been complimenting them on their voice talent before, and I wondered if anyone could give me any hints of tips about what to say.

Thanks in advance

You can talk about what an amazing voice he has. He was also King Mufasa in the Lion King, and has does so many voice overs and narrating over the years. He has the no.1 most recognizable voice in the world. {thumb2}

guilder1st is right, I definately agree with him. {thumb2}
Or, you could watch an acting movie of his, and compliment a little on that, as wheniam6 said! :mrgreen:

I agree with the above posts. :) Mention how much you love Vader, and how you love his voice. I wrote to him too, and I mentioned that I love his voice - there's just something about it. I love the way he talks. I could listen to him talk for hours!

Hey! Yeah writing to JEJ is really easy. You might also want to check out some of his films, so you can comment on those too. I've written him a couple times and always got a great reply.

Thanks for your advice guys. I feel a bit better now, knowing I can talk about the character as well as how much his voice made Darth Vader the awesome villain that he is! :D

Thanks again. {??}
