I want to print out some photos to send with letters. I'm not going to print them myself, but take them to a photo store. I want the print 5x7 size photos. What do the pixels need to be in order for a photo to come out nice at this size? As some photos I want are kinda small (4x6 or little smaller). I don't want the photos to look dodgy, so wanna know what size the pizels need to be. Thanks in advance.

I try for over 1000 pixels. But I usually can get by with 5x7 and 4X6 with less. I can check my notes and see what size my store recommends but it might take me a while.

Yes, as BossC said, 1000 pixels or more is good. But I usually print out 4x6, or around that size, so I use less than that. But it all depends.
So, for 5x7 I recommend around 1000 pixels, but for the 4x6 800 pixels or so would be good! {thumb2}
Good luck printing, soon enough you'll be doing this -->

For 4x6 photos, the Required Pixel size is 850x1250. {thumb2} For the 8x10's and 5x7's I'd go for the 1000x2000 range. You could also ask the photo lab employees what works too. {thumb2}

for a 4x6: 1024x768
Hope this helped.

thanks all for the help. Will try. I been collecting autographs for awhile, but never send own photos, and so that's what I going to start to do.
thanks

Very cool. I think you'll notice a large difference right away in the how the celeb will reply with sending your own photos & Items. {thumb2}
