How many stamps from USA to UK?

Hello all and thanks for helping out!

I have purchased 20 seperate 94c stamps to collect from America as it works out cheaper than IRC's.
I have a couple of questions -

How many of these stamps should I use on a C5 envelope to send a picture/dvd cover back from the States? - I don't know if you use C5 in America but it is a letter half the size of A4, and is classed as a letter here in the UK

How many should I use on a A4 sized envelope with the same inside (for A4 pictures)

I have had a look on the USPS website - completely confusing! - worse than Royal Mail!

Thanks again

Hi crazy clum,

This link should help: http://pe.usps.com/text/imm/fh_014.htm#ep3576772
Scroll down to "First-Class Mail International" then below that you need to look more specifically at the "Large Envelope (Flats)" information. I do suggest you take it to your local post office for it all to be weighed, but I'd imagine it to be around 2-3 ounces. Maybe just 2 ounces...you could probably get buy with 2 or 3 of the $0.94 cent stamps you have!

Hope that helps!

Ok, I believe that a C5 envelope is the normal envelope size on the usps.com website.

You will need one .94 stamps for one ounce (about the weight of a DVD cover/smaller photo) and 1.74 for up to 2 ounces.

Hope this helped. {thumb2}
