Hi everyone!
Im new to the autograph collecting world, and plan on sending David Tennant a letter today. (19th April). Can anyone tell me how long it takes him to respond (on average) and whether his autographs sent are authentic please?

I heard he uses secatarial inscriptions...... like I said I'm new and have no idea what this means!!!
THANKS! :D

Hi cpdw,

Welcome to Fanmail!
David won't dissapoint you, don't worry! You can check in the database by searching David at the top of the page for how long he tends to take, but I would say that the average is around 4-5 weeks.

David does sign authentically, however you are right when you say that you think he uses secretarial dedications, which means that David presigns a large batch of pictures and then his secretary disperses them as and when he receives requests, adding a personalization. (E.g: the 'To John' part is written by the secretary, but the signature is written authentically by David.)

Good luck! I received mine last year. :)

Hei!

Welcome here :D
First of all, I advice you to check David Tennant in database http://www.fanmail.biz/33098.html <<arrow$ There you can see his previous feedback.
Yes, he uses secretarial inscriptions. That mean that he doesn't write ''To Someone'' but someone elso write that for him and he only signs under.
As far as I know, his autographs are authentic {up}
If you need any more help feel free to PM me ;)
Good luck with your request! {thumb2}

Hey!
Thanks Phoebe and Ursha for your quick resplies!
You both were great helps {up}
The other thing i wanted to ask is that, after reading of other people's "David Tennant success" is it really necessary to send him my own picture to sign if he has already pre-signed some anyway? His oficial website advises not to but fanmail.biz does!!!???
Thanks again!!!

No, it's not necessary. You can send him a photo if you really like one and would like it to be signed but otherwise you can also only ask for an autographed photo :) I think he sends out postcards (http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?t=123153).

Welcome to fanmail.biz and autograph collecting!

Pheobe and Ursha explained everything for you :)

If you want a dedicated autograph Id wait till he is doing theatre and send a VV request.

Feel free to ask any more questions!

Good luck {thumb2}

Thanks Guys! I don't think I will send him a photo to sign, I'd rather wait and see what he sends me!!! It'll add to the excitment!
The main thing is that i get my reply before August as I hoped to surprise my friend with his autograph on their Birthday!
Thanks to u all - and happy collecting! :D

Good luck with your request, cpdw!

David sends out beautiful Doctor Who promo cards. :)
If it's for a friend be sure to clearly state in your letter that you would like it personalized to your friend's name.

Usually, even if you dont ask for one for yourself too, they usually send one too. His PA (and him of course!) are lovely like that :)
