I can give you the US to Indonesia prices:

A4 is a large envelope and you need at least 1.24 in postage (about one photo) or 2.03 if it is over one ounce but under 2 ounces.

Hope this helped. {thumb2}

Hello nainaitok! ;-)
1. How many stamps do I need for a4 envelope ? From US to Indonesia
As BossC said, you would need around $1.24 worth of stamps, although I usually add $1.80 worth of USA stamps on my SASE's (I am from South Africa). {up}
2. How many stamps do I need for a4 envelope ? From UK to Indonesia
For the UK, you would need around £1.24 worth of stamps. For an A5 sized SAE, it costs 81p. {up}

Good luck!! :mrgreen:

Hi nainaitok :)

If you ever need to know how much it will cost to mail a letter from another country to yours all you have to do is go to that country's post office site on the net.

There you will be able to find all the info you need. Just google the post office, USPS, open the site, go to international mailings, then indicate what country it will be going to (yours) then click on the size of envelope, and the weight, and it will tell you how much that will cost. If you ever need to convert money, or weights, just google those as well. For example google grams to ounces, or US dollars to British Pounds etc.

You need to take your "return" envelope to the post office and have it weighed so you know "exactly" how much it will cost you to mail it back---that's just the envelope and your photos. That way you never have to worry about not having enough postage and losing it to the US recovery center.

Here is the page in USPS:

http://ircalc.usps.gov/default.aspx?Mod ... &CID=10202

I've already set it up for Indonesia. You just need to click on the size of envelope and put in the weight in ounces. On the next page you can access the dimensions of the envelope by clicking on that at the top so you can see if your envelope falls into that range. You can also find out the different prices for the different weights by typing in 1, 2, 3 ounces etc.

You can also do this for the Royal Mail:

http://sg.royalmail.com/portal/rm/Price ... ricingcalc

Just click on the category, and then put in the weight in grams. Then you'll be directed to put in your destination. This will direct you to the different mailings and their prices. You can click on them to get a more detailed explanation, and a price range depending on weight. For example if you click on Airmail you will be taken to a page with all the prices and a description of what Airmail is. You can then easily do a price conversion by googling UK Pounds to Indonesian Rupiahs.

Hope that helps. {thumb2}

Hi, I have tried the USPS website
I have tried to calculate my envelope which is a4..what is the normal weight for that kind of envelope? I don't put anything inside it..just a card board so that the photo will not bend.
which price that I have to pay ?
I have 30 forever stamps for now..

So, you are sending a LOR, SASE, and cardboard only? You are wanting the celebrity to give you one of their autographed photos?

So what will be coming back to you is an envelope, cardboard and an 8x10 photo?

As I have no idea what the weight of your cardboard is I can't tell you how much that would weigh.

You need to take your return envelope, your cardboard, and if you have an 8x10 photo put that in there (just so that you have an accurate idea of return weight, you won't be sending the photo, but you need something in there to see how much it would weigh).

You need to take this to your local post office, have them put it on their scale, and tell you exactly how much that weighs. That is the only way to know exactly how much it will weigh.

That is what I do. I take all my requests to the post office and weigh every single one. I weigh the whole thing to make sure it is under 100 grams to mail out, and then I weigh only the return items---my photos, cardboard and my return envelope---to see how much that weighs.

I want my return envelope to be under 85 grams, and it usually always is. With cardboard, two photos, and the 9" x 12" envelope it usually always comes to less than 85 grams. BUT I make sure to use cardboard that is no more than 1 - 1.5 ounces. And, as I am printing up my own photos, they may be lighter than the photo the celeb will send back to you. If you have heavier cardboard then I have no idea how much that will come to.

I buy $1.55 in stamps for each envelope (US to Canada), and then I put on an extra 20 cents in stamps as well. That way if the celebrity takes a really long time to get back to me, and the postage prices increase before they do, then it will get to me. If you are sending to a venue you should be okay with whatever the amount is for that weight, because it "should" come back fairly soon. Once they have finished filming I give it another two months. If it hasn't come back by then I consider it a failure.

If you are close to May of 2010, when you do a mailing, then you should definitely put on extra postage as the price increases on May 11, 2010.

So, to sum up, you need to take your return envelope, your cardboard, and an 8x10 photo to your local post office and have them weigh it. Once you know exactly how much that weighs then you can go on the USPS site and type in the size, and the weight, and find out exactly how much that will cost to mail it from the US to Indonesia. (If you are not sending a photo that is fine, by using an 8x10 photo it should give you an idea how much it will weigh to come back to you.)

If you need to know the dimensions of the envelope there is a link at the top of the page with the prices, you can click on (show dimensions). This will show you the size you are allowed.

I know it can be extra work to have to go to the post office and have it weighed first, but that is all part of this hobby, I am afraid. If you want to make sure it will definitely be the correct amount of postage to get back to you, that is what you must do.

I hope that helps! {thumb2}

halo! duh akhirnya ketemu juga orang indonesia disini hehe :) mmm terakhir aku ngirim a4 ke UK,35rb, tapi di kantor pos ditimbang kok. kalo ringan pasti jauh lebih murah (pernah ngirim ke US di amplop kecil yang isinya surat aja 10rb, kalo isinya macem2 (SAE, foto dll) jadi lebih mahal). good luck ya :)
