Can I use first class UK stamps on my SASE? I live in the US

Hello,

I have a few questions regarding to sending a fan letter to London.

1) Can I use first class UK stamp? Does it have to be worldwide stamp to send from London to the US?

2) Where can I buy UK stamps in the US? IRC is not allowed in the agency I want to send to.

3)Usually how much postage should I have on my SASE if I am sending a 8X10 envelope without a cardboard ?
