Hi davidarchuletafan,
Welcome to fanmail!
I'll move this to the correct forum for you. {thumb2}
But to answer your question, it is true most celebrities do have a stack of photos to send out. However, some people like to send their own photos because they have a certain one they would like signed.
There are a few that do not have their own photos, but not many. You can always check the feedback section for a celebrity to see weather or not they send their own.
The only time you should always include your own photo is if you're sending via venue.
So in most cases it is up to you.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask. I'm always happy to help.
Good luck! :D

Hey davidarchuletafan {up}
Welcome to fanmail.biz - I hope you get lots of lovely successes ;-)

It is up to you if you want to send a photo with your letter or not. Some celebs sign the picture that you have included and some dont and include there own. It just depends on who your writing to :)

Good Luck {love}

Hiya davidarchuletafan,

Welcome to Fanmail.biz! It's great to have you here.

Most celebrities will have their own photo to send, so it really is a matter of what you would prefer to have signed, whether or not you send your own item. There are only really a handful of celebrities who need you to provide the photo, and you can check who these are by reading up on the previous feedbacks of the person you are writing to. :)

As others have said, if and when you send any requests via venue, it is always best to include an item to be signed (and an SASE to cover return postage) as in many cases the celebrity is not at the venue for very long and does not have photos with them. There are exceptions of course though!

Best of luck to you, and enjoy collecting! {thumb2}

If there are any other questions you have, please do not hesitate to PM me.

Phoebe :D

what i do is if i find a nice photo then i send that one and do not ask for a other one. i think one is good but sometimes they do send there own along with the one u sent them. In the past i have sent movie stars really nice photos and they just keep them and send there own which makes me mad.

I used to send photos, index cards and questionaires, but it got to be too much and a lot of the time I wasn't getting them back. So now I just send a letter and an SASE. Sometimes they won't sign your photos nor send them back. I've sent to Freddie Highmore twice and sent photos and he kept my photos and sent me one of his own. However, I've sent my own photos to people like Dick Van Dyke and Nathan Kress and they signed my photo and sent me one of their own. I also wrote to Jeff Branson and sent him an index card and he sent that and only that back signed. He didn't include his own photo or anything. I guess it depends on the celeb. Checking out feedback on here for people you want to write to and seeing what they do is a helpful way to find out what you should do.
