How many envelopes?

Hello! My name is Cody, and I'm so excited to begin collecting!
I bought 25 9x12 Manila self-adhesive envelopes. But I know you need to include a SASE, so do I need to put a smaller manila envelope inside for my SASE?
Thanks, and also, feel free to let me know of any tips on what to include in the envelope.

Hello!

Yes, you will need
two envelopes per request.
Your first envelope contains
- your
letter of request
- possibly
photos to sign
- possibly
IRCs for postage
- your
second envelope that will send back to you with the autograph.
Here you will find further information:

Good luck collecting! {thumb2}
Many regards,

Buy 20 10x15 envelopes, it's the next size up and the 9x12 fit perfect. I don't think they sell a pack of 25, but I could be wrong.

I have a 9X12 prestuffed with cardboard (a file folder cut in half so that the SASE won't bend on the way back to me) and put it in a 10X15. It's the easiest I've found to do SASE's. I used to use 9X12's and fold another 9X12 in half but this way is so much easier.

I would use the 9X12s for the SASE.
Do you mind bending your SASE? I bend my 9X12 SASE to fit in a 6X9 envelope. That saves me on postage in case I don't get a response.
If you don't want to bend the envelope, NickButler had a good suggestion: buy envelopes a bit bigger and the 9X12s will just slide in.
As for tips, check out the links matze16 provided. They will give you some good advice.
Hope this helps. {thumb2}
