Change of address?

Hi Fanmail.biz!

Just a quick question that is puzzling me! (no surprise there then!)

I may be changing address, how should I proceed with any 'outstanding' autograph requests? I was advised to pay, I think it is £15 - £20 to get the mail forwarded to the new address, but this expires after 3 months. I have three requests pending, one of which is Damian Lewis who is often out of the country in America, another one takes time to reply as I was told from an other member on here, and one that I sent in May to David Tennant but so far no luck.

I would mainly like to know if there is anything further I should/ can do?

I hope this is in the correct place! :oops: :D

Thanks! :D

Well, until you are certain as to whether or not you are moving, I wouldn't send out any more requests if I were you, unless you can have them sent to a friend or relative's house and pick them up from there.

If you do move - for the requests that you already have outstanding, (luckily there aren't too many, as it might have been more of a problem if there were lots) I would suggest perhaps asking the new owners of the house if they could forward on any post for you. If you have a friendly relationship with the new owners, they might be so kind as to do that. {up} You could even leave behind a few SASEs with your new address on them, so that they can be easily forwarded on to you.

Good luck! {thumb2}

Phoebe :D

HAHA we in the US don't have to pay for that.

Just joking no offense meant

Your best bet would be to ask the new owners to forward on any mail. If you are only moving locally, you could even ask them just to let you know if there is any & pick it up. Or, like Phoebe suggested, leaving them with some SASEs would make it even easier for them :)

Usually, they'll be quite helpful, afterall, they're probably going through the same with their old address & know how much of a pain mail forwarding can be!

Thanks for the quick replies Phoebe and Osiris! {up}

I will know by Friday for definite so I can then take your advise as to what to do next. :) There is actually an office for the landlord next door so I could always leave SASE there, as I think the property won't be occupied straight away. If that fail there is always the family next door who could help! :D

At times like this I'm thankful that I'm an Autograph Collector on a budget! Less is better, as it is only 3 requests! {thumb2}

Thanks again! {??}
