Which is better: Dollars or IRCs? Advice on how many IRCs?

If I'm sending to the US and I want a reply back to the UK which is better: Dollars or IRCs? I have quite a few dollars left from my holiday but if IRCs increases your chance of getting a reply, I will buy some of those somehow.

If I want a reply back from the US, how many IRCs shall I include for a C5 envelope that will contain a photo and perhaps a piece of card?

I'd include 2. The weight should be just above 30g for a standard request, eg. letter, index card, return envelope.

I use IRCs, by the way.

id use US dollars instead or IRCs if you can get them easily. ive heard of celebs not knowing
what they are. IRCs are way more expensive and current ones expire in december. i personaly will never use an IRC again, just make sure the dollars are well hiddem in ur envelope.

Hi EastendersFan!

I always send IRC's because it's safer then sending cash through the mail. Also, if you can't get a hold of IRC's you could check the Autographs for Sale/Trade forum (http://fanmail.biz/mboard/viewforum.php?f=127) and see if anyone's selling US stamps. I would send cash only as a last resort and only if you feel comfortable doing it.

Get US stamps, they're even better.

$2 would be fine, dont use card and $1 will be enough.

Im my opinion/experience, stamps > dollars > IRCs

Mixed opinions really. I think I will include both
