I heard that IRC's are available until Dec. 31

If IRC's are expired, do celebrities send letters back on the next year?

Hi there!
Last time I've done that (I mean-sent a letter 6 months before they were expired) I received an autograph but I wouldn't risk next time. You can send stamps or money instead ;)

No Those you can buy now are valid until the end of this year. As far as I remember, new ones come out in December 2009.

The new ones are already released, at least I was able to buy one . They look slightly different from the 'older' ones and expire at the end of 2013.

When the current IRC expires, you will have to hope in the celeb's kindness, as they will have to pay the postage because the IRC will be worthless :neutral: .

Yeah, IRCs will cycle every few years.. I'm not sure if there's a set amount of time though - the current one has lasted 3 years, but the next one is good for 4. The ones you buy now are all good up to 2013, the one that expires this year is no longer sold.

You can't use expired ones obviously, so it's really up to the celebrity if they want to pay. If you still have any of the 2006-2009 ones on hand, I believe you can exchange them for the new issue at the post office.
