I sent an 8x10 envelope to the stage manager with a 6x9 SASE on October 3rd with a LOR...

i saw 2 or 3 people get a success from this when they sent theirs one or two days after me...

am i just worrying too much?

what do you think?

**i measured the envelope... and its oddly 6.5x9.5 will it still work... and does it make a difference if you send an envelope that you have to lick vs the kind you can just peel off to seal...

sorry, im just nervous

help? {??}

I think you are putting way too much thought into it! You should be fine!

A few years ago I started sending TTM requests. I had an ASTOUNDING 45% success rate. I got upset and stopped sending TTM. So now I decided to send TTM again for something to do during the cold winters we get in the northern part of the USA. With a different attitude. I think.

Don't fret about it. While I do hope you get a success, TTM failures are a part of the hobby. Once an item gets sent, it's out of our hands and there is nothing we can do about it.

But I do remember reading somewhere on this site that to increase our chances of success, to always send a SASE big enough to accept an 8x10 in case the celebrity doesn't like what is sent to them and decides to substitute another picture. I personally doubt it matters if the envelope has to be licked or not, but I do think that sending the ones that have the peel-off strips is a good idea, just to be on the safe side.

In the context of what twilighter is asking, this is irrelevant advice. The SASE size he/she sent is fine for a playbill, as that's what will be sent.

I didn't see in the original post what was sent or to whom. So I assumed that it was sent to one individual. It is still good advice, since you never know how the celebrity will respond. Better to be safe than sorry is always good advice.

I am sure it will be fine, I can only imagine the amount of requests the Stage Manager has has for signed playbills - some will take longer than others to come through.

Good luck, really hope you are successful! {thumb2}
