I sent out 2 different requests two different venues never heard anything but I heard sometimes it takes up to a year for VV but what I don't understand is why would it take that long?? If the concert was say 3 weeks ago and they put it in the mail right way it would come right away right?? I just am not understanding VV. Why would it take so long?? Does the artist not sign anymore or do they see my request and throw it in the garbage? It is very fustrating!

Hey Heyheyyou! :)
Sometimes the artists sign their VV request after they finish the tour so this could be a reason for long waiting ;) Did you check if they pass on the fan mail at the venue you sent to? If you haven't, the mail might not reach the artist. Here's a list of Venues that do/don't pass on fanmail.
Hope you get your autograph soon!

Maybe You Didnt Send It IN TIME For the Event...You Should Send It At Least 9-10 Days Before The Event.....So That They Can "Sort It" In The Mail Piles....I Send It TEN DAYS In Advance.....So Try That. IF YOUR ALREADY DOING THAT: Try Taking a Peek @ The VV List About The Arenas...And Then If You Did That, Make Sure The Addresses Are RIGHT And Then If You Did That Try Writing This BELOW The envelope:

"PLEASE HOLD FOR (ARTIST'S NAME) UNTIL (EVENT DATE)!"

GOOD LUCK!

And Always Remember To Include a PHOTO And a SASE! {thumb2}

Hi Heyheyyou!

I know it's frustrating, but what you have to remember is that sometimes artists are just really, really busy. Sometimes they don't get into a city until 5 or 6AM and have to be up to do press stuff at 1 or 2PM, sound check after that and then meet and greet with fans before the actual concert takes place. I worked at a venue that hosted the American Idol tour and their schedule was pretty much booked from the time they got into the city until they left. Artists may only have time to sign one or two vv autographs at a time. It's all about patience. I usually just send my request and forget about it, that way when I do receive something it's a surprise. Hang in there! {up}

The one venue maybe I didn't send it in time that is possible.......The 2nd venue I sent to I sent a week in advance wrote please hold until......... And that venue does pass on mail so I am not sure what happened....... But to be honest I haven't heard a success since July ( It's Taylor) and then I did hear someone say they did get something back but it wasn't signed. I want Taylor's autograph sooo bad!! [ugotmail]
