Mysterious Failure

I've sent out about 200 requests this year and I just cannot seem to find where this failure has come from. In my mailbox today I get my SASE with NO postmark on stamp and no return address, the envelope dosnt even have a mark saying where it came from. In it is no custom card I sent out and a letter from Stone Manners, A Talent & Literary Agency saying:
"Thank you for your interest in represenation at Stone Manners. Unfortunately, at this busy time, we are not accepting unsolicited inquiries. Thank you again and good luck."
Address on the letterhead is 9911 W. Pico Blvd Suite 1400
Does anyone have any idea who this may have come from?

Finally found it. It was a RTS for Chris Sarandon

That means that your request for an autograph was mistaken as an attempt to send an unsolicited matierials such as a script for a movie, an original song, or the like. It's happened before. If I remember correctly, it can be resolved by resending and writing "fan mail" on the outer envelope, but I'm not positive about that.

You could call the agency and ask them if they forward fan mail to their clients. If they say yes ask if Chris Sarandon is accepting fan mail, and if they know if he is signing ttm.
Some agencies do not forward at all. Some do forward but not all of their clients want fan mail and will tell them not to pass it on to them. So it's a good idea to specify who you are sending to. When I called Gabriel Byrnes' agency they said they did forward fan mail but not to Gabriel Byrne. He obviously told them not to bother him with it.
Sometimes they do forward but then later change that policy and stop. The only way to find out is to call them and ask, unfortunately, unless you see a success. BUT even then you may get it back. Like with Linda Hamilton. If I remember correctly someone got a reply from her out of an agency but it took a long time to come back. I then called that agency right after I saw that success and asked if they forwarded and they told me no, not any more---and rather rudely too!
Other times they say they'll forward and that the celeb signs and you never hear back. So I have no idea what is going on there. Could be the celeb decided to stop maybe.
Sorry to hear about the failure, perhaps it was an error on their part sending it back to you.
