Hi, :?
Today I went to the post office. And the post officer ask me to write " printed matters, photos!" on the envelope.

I sent 3 photos and SASE and LOR to Zoe Saldana from Taiwan to America. Are these things so called "printed matters"?
Is it illegal to write "printed matters, photos" on my envelope? And I am wondering will the celebrity read my mail?? since "printed matters" looks not important at all,she might regards my mail as an ordinary advertisement from a shopping mall and reject it without opening it.

Any ideas??

Hi Cheri.

First, please can I ask you to resize your signature image as it is much too large for the forum.

Second, as you will be likely writing to an agent or such, it is unlikely that they will ever get mail for them that is not business/fanmail related (i.e. agencies dont get shopping leaflets in the post!) so I don't think you'll have a problem. Often different countries have different rules about what you have to write on envelopes to describe the contents, sometimes what you write effects the price of postage and even getting it through customs. This will be why they asked you to write "printed matters/photos" on the envelope.
