Hey guys, I want to send Bobby Doerr a baseball to sign and Lawrence Taylor a football to sign. What is your suggestion for packaging them? I have never sent anything but a picture, letter and SASE before so I have no clue what to do. And also, how would I give them a SASE? Would I just give them the money for the packaging and stamps? All the help is appreciated here.
Please refrain on negative comments like these players won't send me them back signed. I still need the information regardless because I want to try different players, too.
Thanks everyone!!!!

Packaging Question?
EVERY REQUEST INCLUDES A SASE, INDEX CARD FOR "SLIGHT" PROTECTION AND LOR!! NONE OF MY AUTOGRAPHS ARE FOR SALE!!! THEY ARE FOR MY PERSONAL COLLECTION ONLY!!! Autograph collecting is a hobby of mine. It is not meant to be anything for profit nor beyond my enjoyment. I only send out to people I have deep respect for in their profession/field. I send out to the following but not limited to: professional/college athletes/coaches, actors/actresses from TV shows, artists/authors, voice actors/actresses, and any other random celebrity I love/respect. I try to respect everyone's privacy the best I can. Feel free to private message me about anything. I'm always willing to help if I can. Just do not demand addresses/advice. Be chill about it and I'll definitely be of some help! Aggression and entitlement gets nothing. Best advice I can give everyone about autograph collecting through the mail are the 3 P's: [/u] BE POLITE!!! BE POSITIVE!!! BE PATIENT!!![/u]
Re: Packaging Question?
I don't know about a football, but a baseball can be sent in a bubble mailer. Some folks use a box inside another box, but I wouldn't trust that Mr. Doerr or Mr. Taylor would keep packing tape handy. Just use a bigger bubble mailer to fit your ball and bubble envelope SASE.
The nice thing to do is to send Mr. Doerr five or ten bucks. I know he will often sign for free, but it's the nice thing to do. He's pretty much a lock to get an autograph. (You didn't say to refrain from making positive comments.) I don't know Mr. Taylor's habits, but with high end items some players do charge a fee.

Re: Packaging Question?
Hahah thanks for the help Packrat. I'm going to try that when I send out some more this spring. Now I just need to know how to send a football!
Thanks again!
