Sample email request?

Unread post by steelerboy1961 »

As you can tell i'm really new to autograph collecting, actualy started about 3 days ago. For a lot of the feedback, I see people who say they sent a request via email. I'm asuming that this does not render a respounce or a need an SASE? I just need a little help understanding why this is different than a letter request. And if someone could give me a sample request that woul be great.

its not that different than a letter request...the only thing thats different is the end which would be the following:

"....hey if it would be okay with you..could u please mail me a signed photo for me please? her is my address..thank you soo much! sincerly (your name).." but overall you can type the same email you would use as the letter...tell the person why you like them..what your fav. movie or song is and so and so...

good luck

First off welcome... As for email request most of the time people just send out as many requests to random people with the hope of recieving free autographs. As for what you write. It's the same as a letter of request by mail but just as an email. Good luck

Thanks! and the emails are not rarely responded to correct? (as an email reply, not as in the request itself)

I have sent email requests and had the person email me back with a short note saying "Yes they would be happy to mail me something" or sometimes I have been told to send a SASE and they give me their snail mail address. I've even been told that I need to send a check because they charge for their photos.

If they or their people do email you back, just send a short thank you. Or if you are told no (which is rare, because the no's usally just don't reply) you can always send back a "Thank you for your time" email.

Good luck with your collecting!
