ive been given another chance to write to the great macca.
the guy is my hero, my icon!

but im stuck with that to say, ive got addresses and ive got untill june, but my minds blank,
this guy has been my world since i was 12. why cant i think what to say to him?
its because of this guy that i learnt to play guitar, its because of him that i stopped letting people call me "cack-handed" because im left handed, and i was sick of people teling me "if you want to play guitar you must play right handed"

ive got so much to say but it needs to be short

can anyone help?

Speaking as another massive Paul/Beatles fan, I know exactly what you mean. I'm planning on trying for his autograph this tour, too, and it's hard to think of what to say. If it ever came down to standing in front of him, I doubt I would be able to form sentences. But speaking as a college student who is constantly assigned essays, I've learned that the best thing to do when you don't know what to write is...write. Open up a word processor or something on your computer, and put down everything you might possibly want to say. Then just rework it constantly, keep drafting it and tweaking it and trimming it down to a decent length until you get the final, polished letter you can be proud of.

This might be totally useless to you, it's just how I think and how I'll probably write my letter. Hope this helps some! :D

That's about the best advice anyone can give. I have the opposite proplem. I don't have a problem writing to someone big like that; I find a few things that mean something to me, shut down my mind, and write. I have problems writing to someone with only a few credentials.

Same here.

I'll also be writing to Macca whilst he's on tour, I've got two dates lined up for the UK, and one for the US. I can only DREAM that one of those would be successful

Yeah, writing to him is like buying a lottery ticket...he's definitely worth a shot though.
