Sending to London?!?!!

So, I'm going to be sending some things to Pattinson in London.

Can I just use US stamps on my return envelope?
I mean I did that last time, and I got my autographed picture. (I just think its weird that the US stamps went through)

Do you guys use IRC's or just send some money?

When I send to London, I just put a couple dollars in the envelope and the celeb can use that to pay for return postage. Has worked for me numerous times.

You cannot use US stamps on your return envelope. Either get British stamps from somewhere (perhaps check the Autographs for Sale/Exchange section and see if someone can help), use IRCs or send cash as Ryan suggested.

It is more difficult to send British currency as we do not have paper currency at that denomination (you shouldnt send coins through the post). To send a letter to the US you're looking at around £2, maybe £3, our lowest paper currency is £5. If you cannot find stamps or IRC, try putting in $3 or $4 (£2 = just about $3 - $3.01 or something at the moment). Of course, you lower your chance of reply as the recipient will need to get this exchanged, but it is better than not including anything at all.

Most people use British stamps or IRCs. Stamps are cheaper than IRC and probably have a higher success rate, but IRC is better than cash

Nope, Just regular U.S Dollar bills. Most performes I send too end up coming to the USA for premeires so they just hang on to it and spend when they come here.

I don't know what to do. I can't get IRC's no more. I can get british pound coins from a currency exchange. Why is it bad to send coins? Cause there metal?

I just don't want to overspend but at the same time get a good success rate. I dont know how to get stamps for UK, besudes finding someone on here.

Would I beable to buy stamps from royal mail shop even though I live in the US? Cause I can buy stamps there worth a pound each. Would these stamps be okay for them to send my letters back to me from London? Cause obviously it would have to be airmailed.

I would just go with the chash method. the majority of people I've sent them too sometimes wrote back and thanked me for the dollars. Coins aren't good because they weight the envelope down more and there always the possibility of them getting caught in the mail line and jamming it thus ruining the entire request.

I just sent a request out today to Ben Barnes and included Cash so I'll let you know what happens.

Yeah, they're heavier & bulky in the envelope. There's a higher chance of them being spotted and being taken by someone (you're not really supposed to send any money in the mail but obviously paper money is harder to spot).

Im selling UK stamps / swapping uk for US stamps on the for sale part of the forum if you need some just give me a shout.

I would not reccomend sending coins because you can tell they are in the envelope and they may be stolen, they also have a long way to come and may end up damaging the photo if you include one and/or ripping the envelope.
