Postage??????

Unread post by synclaire »

Hi,
I just wanted to find out some info about postage  .I pay a certain amount to mail a letter only but I was wondering if it usually costs more with a SAE inside the envelope?I wonder that because I know they have to weigh it to find out how many stamps are needed. ;-) .If you add a SAE,does it cost the same as a regular letter or it costs more?I know an envelope isn't that heavy...Thanks

Really it depends on the size of the envelope and which country you are from - I live in england and find it costs the same to send a letter as it does to send a letter with SAE in a normal size envelope, but if I send an A4 size envelope with a large SAE then yes it can cost a little more but it is very little extra - and considering more people respond if you enclose an SAE you are less likely to waste postage by sending a letter that wont be answered.
