Lets see if I can help a little-- There is a whole bunch of collectibles called Non-sports trading cards. There are base set, inserts, autographs, and relics/PW/material cards. There are few companies that make these and some are Topps, Razor, Panni/Donruss and they all use sticker autographs. Other companies like- RA, Breygent, Artbox have their autographs on the card. (and the now closed Inkworks).
I believe Topps' next release is an Iron Man 2 set but no info has really been released yet. Their last release was clone wars which you can probably find packs still at Target and Walmart- but the odds of pulling an autograph are very low. It is a expensive hobby and also beware that there are conterfiet cards out there but they are usually higher end cards like Depp from artbox, alot from the Spiderman movie RA release and a few of the Inkworks cards.
I don't have many Topps cards in my collection because I don't lke sticker autographs but here is a scan of what some look like.
Topps Heroes and Clone Wars-

If you look at my photobucket link below and go to trading cards there are tons of scans of cards in my colllection.
I hope this helps you a bit-- cheers! Michele

Hi, I am short on time right now (just got to work and my shift starts at 3AM) and so the last person was somewhat accurate. Topps, Upper Deck, Razor (who releases a cut signature product, and rereleases uncirculated Inkworks cards), Breygent (Wizard of Oz, Ghost Whisperer, Dexter, etc.), Artbox (Harry Potter, etc.), Rittenhouse and a few more obscure companies.
By collecting cards you are able to get autographs of everybody from John Travolta to Johnny Depp to Buzz Aldrin. There's usually a large premium on these compared to autographed photos, but they are easier to authenticate. That said- there are a lot go forgeries in the card world as well. Like I said I am really short on time right now- but if you PM me I can answer nearly any question you might have on the topic or at least refer you to someone who can help you.
As for what Michele--- said, Upper Deck is to be releasing Iron Man II sometime this month, but the date has been pushed back repeated times and only a few short statements have been released about it. UD is a major card manufacturer, but has been running into legal and business problems and is taking a dump. I believe Topps next nonsport set is Star Wars 3D.
There are also cut autographs inserted into various products- UD Prominent Cuts cards are 1/box and are a cut autograph certified by PSA/DNA. Razor Cut signatures are encapsulated cut signatures certified by JSA/Beckett. and then there are various chase cuts by Topps and UpperDeck randomly inserted into products- like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
I am off tomorrow around noon and will be able to get back to you then. If anyone has any questions please PM me. I am not an expert, but do thousands of dollars in deals annually concerning this stuff and so for the most part I know what I'm talking about.
