Questions About VV: IRCs/Stamps and Waiting Time

Hi,

I'm new to autograph collecting through via-venue, and would appreciate some help. :D

Firstly, I'd like to send an autograph request via-venue to a concert. I've checked with my local postal service and it takes 7-12 days for an item to be shipped via airmail to the US. How many days in advance from the date of the concert should I send the mail?

Secondly, since I live ouside the US, I understand that I'll need to include an IRC or stamps in my SASE for the letter to be posted back to me. Is it alright if I just include an IRC in my SASE, or is it better to get US stamps? My concern with stamps is that I may not get the postage rates right and might end up with the letter not being posted back to me.

Thirdly, I'm intending to include a poster from a magazine to request for it to be signed. How can I ensure that the poster gets back to be in good condition (without being folded and bent by the postman)? Is it sufficient to write "Please Do Not Bend" on the envelop?

Thank you so much!

"Nice to meet you!!" witnessamiracle jejeje...I'm from Spain and i think that you need is an IRC (International Reply Coupon) this is necesary when you are from another country that the person you want to send (in this case, the concert) but I'm not sure, so i recommend you wait for another best response of a person who knows more than me (it will be easy xDDDD)

For the other question you have to write "Please Do Not Bend" and the rest depend of the postman xD (I'm not sure too)

I hope i help you
Bye!!

I know I can do it ^^

Hey :D

I would sent it two weeks before the event. So if it takes 7 days it'll be early, but if it takes 12 days it will still be on time.

An SAE with IRC's is alright, but an SASE will probably be the best. The celebrity (or manager or something like that XD) doesn't have to go to the post office to buy stamps. Postage can you calculate on this website: http://www.usps.com/

You can write "Do Not Bend" in the envelope but if you really want to be sure, you can include a cardboard. Then it's almost impossible to bend. Notice this will increase the with of your envelope and you need to add more stamps.

I hope I helped you a bit
