A autopen is a machine that can sign any item put into it to look exactly like a persons signature. Autopens are very hard to detect at times because they leave indents like a pen and have other features that a real autograph would have. Some people accused of or proved of using an autopen is troy aikmen, muhammed ali, or charlize theron. A preprint is a signature that is printed with a picture. Bob barker usually sends preprints. He signs a photo and they make copies of that signed photo. To detect a preprint is real easy, just hold the autograph to a light if the marker changes color from the photo its real. If the signature is preprinted it doesnt. Its part of the photo. I hope that helps you out.
