Hi on_the_edge, {up}

I would definately go for one marketed as a photo printer. Also try to get one which has the slots in it so you can insert your camera card straight into it. That means you can print pictures without having to turn your pc on!

Also, try to go for a major brand (I have always used Epson for home and work). The major benefit of going for an Epson is that the "generic" (and much cheaper) ink cartridges are easily available!

Instead of paying £24.99 for Epson carts for my printer, I can now get remanufactured ones for only £3.99 each. The quality is exactly the same.

A great page to check out would be: http://www.epson.co.uk/products/product ... _Photo.htm

Hope this helps a bit (sorry for the late posting!!!!)

Ahh, Ian, I knew you would help!

Thankyou so much for all the info, you're so great!

I think I am going to get either the R240 or the R340, it just depends which one the shop has, I have such bad luck when it comes to getting what I want.

Thanks again Ian :D

No problem :P

Out of interest, I had a quick look on Ebay for you for cheaper ink cartridges, and have found that you can get a full set of 4 inks for the R240 for £4.99, and a set for the R340 for £3.99 (you have to add delivery to your order, but it is much cheaper.

The genuine Epson cartridges are £29.99 each! I was a bit sceptical at first, but I have now been using the refilled/remanufactured carts now for a few years, and the print quality is the same!

I also checked out the price on eBay for the actual printers, and the R240 is around £80 brand new, and the R340 is about £130.

Hope this helps a bit!

Thanks Ian. I don't use ebay though, my brother does but he never lets me use his account :roll:
