Well, I send 4x6s to get signed, so my SASEs are 4x6s. They only require 1 forever stamp. :lol:

Oh, and if you're the lazy type (LOL!), instead of writing out your address, stick an address label to the front of your SASE! :D

If you don't send a photo, the best bet would be to send a 9X12-the size that a 8X10 photo would fit in. Many celebrities send that size and you need two forever/first class stamps on them if the celebrity is in the US.

If I send my own photos, I generally send a smaller photo and not a 8X10-they cost too much to print- so I use a small envelope and it needs only 1 first class/forever stamp.

Be aware that if you are mailing to a celebrity in another country, there several other costs and things to do.

Hope this helps. {up}

I'm sorry, but I strongly believe that the laziness will be seen by the celeb. It may not reduce your chance of getting a reply, but it's always nice to see when someone takes the time to handwrite.

If you're going to go the label route, at least try to make it look nice or put effort into it to make it look special and unique. Don't just type your address in Times New Roman or Helvetica and print it out and slap it on.

If I were a celeb I would think "They must do this a lot, how special is this letter to me, and why do they deserve my time if they are in a hurry for something I don't have to do for them?"

Just my 2¢.

Completely agreed! I think that's the way things should go... so many people just send out standardized requests, it seems... Sometimes, I type my letter for V.V. just because they are in a hurry, and can read it clearly...my handwriting sucks. But I always write a little handwritten note on it, never strictly typed!

I type my letters due to my terrible terrible handwritting and I always put a P.S. explaining my handwriting. But I always hand sign my letters and write meaddress on there...very carefully though!

That's exactly the reason why I handwrite all of the addresses on the envelopes, even though the more I do it the more I hate doing it, but then I think that if I used a sticker, it would seem like my letter is just a stardardized reaqiest, so I keep handwriting :D

Yeah, something like this I would be fine. Especially if you let them know why you typed it instead, it at least shows consideration that you would have handwritten it... if they would've been able to read it! :lol:

I handwrite, but put a P.S apologising for my sloppy writing too, haha.
