Need some help please!
Hello, thanks for taking the time to read this. So I have a question. I am fan of actor David Thewlis (Harry Potter, Total Eclipse..) and it seems the best way to get him is when he's filming a movie. His upcoming one "War Horse", the production company won't pass on any letters so his other upcoming movie, "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" is one I am shooting for. NOW, I can't find any address for the exact location of filming, however, I found one for the production company. Phew. Ok, My question is, I wrote a letter to there starting with: David Thewlis, Via "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" and then the rest of the address. Not mailed yet because I think I'm going to wait a little longer since I think they begin filming in Sept. Also just a plain little letter, no SASE (should I send one of those instead?). Is it worth trying to send? Thanks.
Re: Need some help please!
You should definately send an SASE along with your letter. Or at least a return envelope & put your address on it. But providing the stamps will help a great deal too.
With Via Venue requests there's a 50/50 chance you'll get a reply. But again, if you send photos and a SASE you stand a better chance of getting a response.
Hopefully that helps you!

Thanks!! I'll use a SAE (or SASE if i can calculate shipping!)
Since it's the production company and not the exact place of filming do you think it's worth a shot?

Sure! That's how it's usually done. Fanmail is never actually delivered to a movie set. It goes to the production staff and they will in turn pass it on to the celeb when they come in to pick things up.BeMyBelarus wrote:Thanks!! I'll use a SAE (or SASE if i can calculate shipping!)
