Hi everyone,

I'm from Belgium and I have some questions. I don't understand all of that Sase and IRC talk so I need someone to help me in normal language :)

I want to send fanmail to the US. I've got envelopes from 114 x 162mm.
Are these big enough?

Here in Belgium they don't know IRC so I prefer normal stamps. How much must I need for on one envelope from the US till Belgium?

Is there someone who can help me to get US stamps for Belgium? I will pay it for sure!

Please help me people :)

Greetings Marijke

Hello Marijke!

* A SASE is a Self-addressed Stamped Envelope (dus een enveloppe met jouw adres én met een postzegel van het land (waar de celebrity woont))
* A SAE is a SElf-Addressed Envelope (een enveloppe met jouw adres zonder postzegel)
* An IRC is een International Reply Coupon (een antwoordcoupon, die als oplossing kan gebruikt worden als je geen postzegels hebt van het land, waar de celebrity woont)

You can buy IRCs in almost every post office in Belgium, they cost €2, which is pretty expensive :).

If you want to use those envelopes as the SASE/SAE, they are rather small. If you send your own photos and they fit in that envelope, it's okay :). If you don't send your own photos, so you ask the celebrity to provide the photo(s), I would use a bigger one, for example 229mm x 162mm (C5) or bigger.

If you want to use those envelopes to send your stuff to the celebrity, it will be very small. But it all depends on what you are planning to send. For example, if you want to send your letter, a SAE/SASE, two photos, it will be to small!)

To calculate the price, you can use this tool at the website of the USPS (all depends on size, weight,...): http://www.usps.com/tools/calculatepost ... atepostage

If you want American stamps, you can try this thread: http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic ... 8&t=182256. He sells and trades American stamps.

I hope, I've helped a bit :D. If you have more questions, just ask or PM me :D.
