I thought about printing custom cards on card stock paper.

What software should you use to make cards?
and will card stock paper print on an HP Officejet J5750?

I use card stock for my custom cards that I print at home.

I don't use the glossy type though, just the normal card stock material. I also use the colored kind too to add a bit of extra 'coolness' to them, rather than just using plain white.
for software I use greeting Card factory express by nova development. It's a pretty simple program to use and my cards come out looking great. Have gotten so many comments on them from members on here as well as the celebs I send them too!

Thanks Ryan for the tips. Do you know a software that is free? Thanks again.

I dont know of any true free ones, but until someone posts on I can tell you that alot/most photoshop programs offer a 30 free trail from their website. What I do is go to BestBuy.com and see the names of phoyo softare, then go to their site and download the 30 day free trail. I've doen this once or twice. I've yet to find anything I like more than my old Windows Picture-It 7.0.

I don't know of any free software except demo's, but Greeting card isn't that expensive. I have version 3.0 which is an older version than the ones they have now and you can find them pretty cheap on Ebay for around $10.00. You can import your own JPEG graphics and also use movie fonts or other famous too (Once you add them to your font database).

I just started. After searching around I haven't found anything I like more than just plain ole PowerPoint. I set the page up for 4x6, import the graphics I want, use their picture, text, and fill options, with no problems. When I'm done I save as a jpg and upload to my snapfish and have them print on matte photo paper for 7cents. Then use a 4x6 envelope and save a TON on stamp costs.
I can't wait to get some back signed and start posting my success.

That's a great idea. Good luck.
